A place where time stops Little did I know, that when I entered the gate that led me into a vast pine tree forest that encompasses Casal do Frade, I would return again and again: following a visit motivated by mere curiosity to see the rooms, Casal do Frade became the place from where I travelled from Ms to Mrs. Casal do Frade's peace, it's charm and the presence of the good natured and cool Henrique – the man behind this magical place – and his gracious, fun and compassionate sister, Cristina, left no room for hesitation or doubt: that it was the perfect place by family and friends. What we got and what you can expect from staying at Casal do Frade: excellent high quality service, tranquility, amazing sunsets accompanied by wine and great company, an unpretentious and welcoming atmosphere, the feel of home, … delicious scrambled eggs in the morning, laughter, late afternoon dives in the pool, Cristina's irresistible homemade patê, new friends, a place where time stops … and we also got a stylish, big wedding party, where we danced from dusk to dawn! Paraíso no Meco Espaço único em que fomos muito bem recebidos pelos proprietários. Ficámos na "cabana do amor" um Bungalow isolado, muito romântico! Aconselho vivamente o casal do frade e vamos voltar mas desta vez com as crianças já no próximo mês! Gonçalo, Portugal

Ideal für einen erholsamen Urlaub! Das Casal do Frade ist ein wunderschöner Ort - ideal zum entspannen und entschleunigen! Das Personal ist so liebenswert und zuvorkommend, wie wir es selten erlebt haben. Nicht zu vergessen die hervorragende Küche!! Christiane, Alemanha

A Little Piece of Heaven Such a great and quiet place for a relaxing getaway! The owners and the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and try their best to make you feel at home right away. Renting a car to be able to fully enjoy the surroundings is recommended for familes. We (19 year old couple) were able to borrow the owner's bikes to get around, which was really fun, but of course sometimes exhauting. You can have dinner at the accommodation for 23 Euros per Person, including all the courses and drinks (also the wine!). The food is amazing and very Portuguese - highly recommended if you want to try some traditional cuisine without being ripped off by tourist restaurants. In case of allergies: they have 4 adorable and really friendly dogs, which could be important to know beforehand. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would, if given the chance, not hesitate to go again! Georgina, Suíça

Joli établissement au coeur de la nature Très bel établissement, au calme et bien décoré. La propriétaire est adorable et très à l'écoute. Petit déjeuner sain et copieux. Et le top... : la piscine d'eau de mer ! Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable dans cet établissement, très différent des hôtels bondés de monde et impersonnels. Celine, França
